inklingfair Pali. Dam churning up sand from the storm the other day. One green baby snake. Cool, cool water running into the fishpond with fingerlings eating up the termite mound dug up by Uncle Noy. Rumors of turtles (none sighted). Perhaps someday we’re going to live up here, under the shade of the century-old trees with the river running in the backyard. I wonder how it’ll feel, sleeping in the woods?
