What Heroes was before Heroes.

1. Nightfall’s Promise by Mickey Zucker Reichert. I mean, really. Sorcerers go around killing folks with “talents” in order to absorb these inborn gifts. And there’s Nightfall (and super-friends), sorcerer-hunters, who get lured into solving a mystery of three children killed in a row, only to discover that the next potential victim was the serial talent-harvester himself. Sylar, is that you?

2. Highlander.

(At this point I am distracted by dinner, Tanith Lee, and Lolo. This happens all  the time, especially with fandoms I left cobwebby months ago. This was what got me thinking in the first place.)

P.S. Why have I never watched The Wicker Man before? It’s more Tanith Lee than Saw, anyhow.
